YOU MUST KNOW THIS!

From our London Area Director, Adam May, came this summary of a report from the Help The Aged charity, it's a bit of a wake-up call to say the least (many thanks, Adam):

- Over 1/4 of older people's quality of life has worsened in the last year
- More than 1/5 live in poverty
- 11% live in severe poverty
- Older people are more isolated: 13% often/always feel lonely (an increase of 8% since last year)
- 739,000, or 7%, do not go out more than once a week

WHY?

THE EVER-WORSENING PENSIONS CRISIS.

How come?

Most people work 35-40 years thinking that in retirement, they will at least be able to live with dignity and have some quality of life. They made no provisions for their retirement and have relied on the state to make sure they would be okay.

IT'S CLEAR THAT THIS CANNOT WORK ANYMORE

The report has proven the crisis is happening NOW, and with so many people now entering the ranks of pensioners, this will only get worse. how much longer do you think the government will be able to provide you with a pension in your older age? We are an aging population, yet right now, there are people out there still assuming that they will be able to rely on the state for their future retirement assuming that they will have some quality of life when the time comes. It's not going to happen.
